Hello everyone! I hope everyone is well.

Last time, we were passing through the early 90s looking at the top scorers from the old First Division and the first two seasons of the Premier League. We started with Gary Lineker’s debut campaign with Spurs and ended with Andy Cole’s enormous tally at Newcastle.

Lineker left Spurs in 1992 and headed off to Japan to join Grampus 8. He was 31 at the time and his England career ended that same summer with defeat to Sweden at Euro 92. If he had stayed at home, would he have been a force in the Premier League?

Was Cole’s huge goal haul the start of something or would he be a one-season wonder? Let’s go the 1994/95 season and find out.
